Anna Brady-Estevez is the Founding Partner of American DeepTech, a newly launched venture firm as of March 2025. She previously served as a Program Director at the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), where she led the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) portfolio focused on Chemical, Environmental, and Distributed Ledger (Blockchain, DAGs) technologies. During her tenure, NSF’s SBIR program invested approximately $200 million annually in early-stage, high-impact startups through non-dilutive grants, mentorship, and commercialization support.
Anna brings a broad background in venture capital, corporate strategy, and scientific research. She has served as Director of Corporate Strategy at Cummins Inc. and The AES Corporation, leading initiatives that resulted in over $6 billion in infrastructure investments and identifying billions in cost optimization opportunities. She was previously a management consultant with the Boston Consulting Group, and a venture partner at 4-Innovation, an international investment firm focused on high-tech ventures in Israel, Singapore, and the U.S.
Earlier in her career, Anna was a Principal at Signal Lake, a venture capital firm investing in advanced software, telecom, and energy technologies. She also worked hands-on with startups—as a collaborator and inventor—including an early-stage venture developing low-cost, low-energy water purification systems. In 2009, she was selected as a Kauffman Fellow for her leadership in innovation and venture capital.
Anna began her career in research and international policy, working with the Office of Naval Research at the U.S. Embassy in Chile. She holds a Ph.D. in Chemical and Environmental Engineering from Yale University, where she was an NSF Graduate Research Fellow, and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and Spanish from Johns Hopkins University.
